The Wife | The Mother | The Photographer

I am a creative soul who is slightly addicted to coffee! An introvert (unless I am holding my camera), heart on my sleeve, lover of life kinda girl who puts her heart into everything.

With over 10 years of experience in photography and a background in children’s services, you can rest assured you are in safe hands. I am often commended for my patience and my natural baby-led posing style. The comfort & safety of your littlest love is a top priority for me.

I have a clean, light & bright studio in the Swan Valley where I capture Maternity, Newborn and Milestone Portraits. Living in the Swan Valley, I am lucky to have many beautiful Perth locations on my doorstep for child and family portraits.

I adore working with children, and it’s been said that I have a gift when it comes to capturing their little personalities. Children see magic in everything and I make it my mission to capture their sweet little faces, cheeky grins & all the details in between.

If you are looking for authentic, timeless portraits that will be passed down through generations, I would love to connect with you.

The story behind the name…

My love for photography started at a young age. I have the fondest childhood memories of holidays spent at my grandparents house, trips into town, walks out in nature, cups of tea and the best home cooking you have ever tasted.

With a camera in hand, my Nan & I would wander along the old railway or to the dam and I would take pictures of everything… literally everything, I’d ask my Nan to stop and pose and she was always so obliging & encouraging. Our special bond shaped who I am today.

I was captivated by my Nan’s stories, sitting for hours as she shared tales from her life. Despite living through the challenges of war, she always saw the good in the world, never a bad word to say, this incredible lady literally saw the good in everything.

It was how my grandparent’s met that inspired me, their romance began one evening at a dance, they noticed each other right away and danced the night away (so cute right). Then my Pop was sent off to the War, they kept in contact writing letters to each other, until one day in the mail came a marriage proposal and they married as soon as my Pop returned. Their love was like something out of a fairytale, they absolutely adored each other, and lived a very happy life.

My beautiful Nan Olive passed away in 2021. I miss her so much. To honour her memory I completely rebranded my business to Love Olive. Photography. It’s how I imagine she would have signed off on one of those sweet love letters.
