Your newborn photography session takes place in my calm, light-filled studio in Aveley, in Perth’s Swan Valley. It’s a chance to slow it all down for a little while. To cuddle your baby, breathe them in, and let me take care of the rest.

Your baby sets the pace. There is plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling, with gentle posing guided by what is naturally comfortable for them.

When should I book my newborn session?
Newborn sessions are best booked while you’re still pregnant, ideally during your second or early third trimester. I’ll reserve your session around your due date, then once your little one arrives, we’ll confirm the perfect day for your photos.
For those sleepy, curled-up poses, 5–10 days old is often the ideal window, while babies are still naturally comfortable tucked up and cosy. But that is a guide, not a deadline. Babies arrive in their own time, and those first weeks can pass in a beautiful blur. If your baby is already a little older, you haven’t missed your chance. We’ll simply follow their lead, embrace the stage they’re in and create beautiful photographs of your baby exactly as they are.

I take a limited number of newborn bookings each month so I can leave room for babies arriving in their own time.

I know how much trust it takes to place your brand new baby in someone else’s care, and I never take that lightly. With over 10 years of experience, newborn safety training and a background in Children’s Services, your little one will always be handled with patience, care and respect.
My approach is gentle and completely baby-led. There is no rushing and no expectation for your baby to sleep or pose a certain way. We’ll pause for feeds, cuddles and settling whenever they need, and simply follow their lead.
Because the most beautiful photographs will always come second to making sure your baby feels safe and comfortable.
